1/365 - A day after birthday

Mother enshrined a homunculus in the womb for approximately nine months. After nine months, she emancipates an exquisite creature. And homo sapiens celebrate that freedom as “BIRTHDAY”.

A birthday is a day when you’re the superstar. Everyone wants to talk with you. Everyone is saying good things about you. Some mean it while some try to hide the enigmatic truth. Everyone is posting something about you on social media. You are a party animal. You receive lots of gifts. Although the gifts received are indirectly proportional to your age. :)
So, birthday is fun until the clock hits twelve O’clock. What after that? You feel sad because all the attention slash fame slash love slash fun is gone, don’t you?

I think it’s not appropriate to shower love for a day and then forget about them for a year. It may be new normal but it’s detrimental to our mental health. The person who did receive any attention for a year suddenly becomes the favourite person but all this fame is temporary. On the next day after the birthday, we feel abandoned as we are not the apple pie of everyone’s eye. This may cause depression.

Many people are excited about their birthday but many people don’t feel any special about their birthday. Birthday is just a normal day for them. I feel good for them as they are living their life peacefully.

Don’t wait for a special day slash special reason to call someone. Just grab the phone, search for the name, and hit dial. By doing this, the birthday boy/girl will be sure that they have “real FRIENDS” whom they can trust and whom they can invite to their wedding. :p

Are birthdays overrated?

Stay healthy, stay sagacious…

P.S: Thoughts are personal not experienced.
